Steele Elementary offers many activities for the children at Steele.

MONDAYS

Lil' Rockers Group Guitar Lessons
Grades 2nd - 5th  ***UPDATED - previously said K - 1st
This is the perfect class to prepare your youngster for playing the guitar. Your little rocker will learn to play basic songs and develop further music skills through basic theory, tab, and rhythm/technique exercises. Students will perform a couple songs in an end-of-session concert. Students need to provide their own guitar. Minimum 3, Maximum 6.
Mondays, 3:00 - 4:00PM. Runs January 14th through March 18th. For more information, click here

C.E.L.L. 
Grades 1st - 5th
Colorado Experiential Learning Lab (C.E.L.L.) offers students an opportunity to participate in a 5 week session covering biology, including dissection, building a terrarium, physical sciences including density, buoyancy, and more.

C.E.L.L. 
Kindegarten
Colorado Experiential Learning Lab (C.E.L.L.) offers students an opportunity to participate in a 5 week session of hands on lab activities covering such things as magnetism, chemistry, meteorology, aerodynamics and more.

TUESDAYS

Steele Sports Camp "Movement Madness"
We provide a fun and exciting way for kids to get/stay fit mentally, emotionally, socially as well as physically. Through a 1 hour, 15 minute class, we provide your child with the needed 60 minutes of vigorous exercis e, help develop and improve sport skills, build their self confidence by providing constant praise and a positive social environment where they feel good about themselves, build friendships and learn to be a team player.
Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays, 3:00 - 4:15 PM. Runs January 8th - May 22nd. For more information, click here.

Creative Design Club
Creative Design is for children who love art. Through the varieties of art children are practicing hand-eye coordination, fine motor development and expressing their feelings through unique, amazing creations. The club will meet every Tuesday from 3:00 - 4:00 in Room 003 from September 11 through October 16. For more information, click here.

Chess Wizards Club
Let your child be part of an exciting and successful chess academy. Chess enhances cognitive development, improves both verbal and mathematical skills, and increases all levels of academic performance!

Girls on the Run
Come be a part of the fun! Join us at Girls on the Run at Steele! Monday and Wednesday, 3:00 - 4:00, starts September 10. For more information, click here.

All Ages
Sticky Fingers Cooking offers young chefs the chance to explore exciting tastes, master culinary skills and nourish their bodies and minds. Each class features a yummy, healthy recipe, emphasizes safety and skill-building, and environmental awareness in an engaging way. We provide all the tools, ingredients and instruction needed to cook up a tasty and healthy snack each class.

Pi Q Math Club
1st - 5th Grades
Pi Q Math believes that continued and deliberate practice is what differentiates a high-achieving student from an average student. This club combines the energy inherent in play with puzzles and games  that are designed to give your child speed and confidence in math. At Pi Q Math, excelling at math is fun!

Mike Giles Family Karate
Martial Arts can energize your child to develop a positive attitude and be more confident - and confidence is one quality that can help your child face an challenge, stay focused on goals, grow as a leader, and be safer in school and on the playground.

Yoga Love
Yoga Love offers an all age, play-based approach to yoga.  This class is available to all Steele kids that want to have fun through movement with engaging games, music and learning activities. We invite your children to join the new generation of students extending their yoga off the mats…and into their future.

Painting Studio Time
Grades 2nd - 5th
Time to explore various ways of painting on different materials. Come join the fun!

FRIDAYS

Dance! Dance! Dance!
A professional dance instructor will be at Steele to teach a fun, high energy, beginning dance class! Learn dance moves and routines to Taylor Swift, "Call Me Maybe", the TV shows "Shake It Up" and "Glee", and Michael Jackson's "Thriller."  For additional information, contact Mikki at 303-733-7982

Da Vinci Club: Exploring Science & Engineering Through Art
2nd-5th Grades
Da Vinci Club is a robust, educational enrichment program that introduces children to science and engineering through art making. The club was created by Steele parents and professional artists Tyler and Monica Aiello who regularly engage with the NASA & scientific community in the development of their work and educational programs. Da Vinci Club provides children with an immersive, interdisciplinary environment that focus on both key learning objectives and creative benchmarks. The program is designed in sequential, thematic blocks where scientific and engineering concepts are explored through a variety of interactive 2D and 3D projects. Children have blast making real fine art while engaging in a truly educational process!

Play-Well Pre-Engineering Club
3rd - 5th Grades
Let your imagination run wild with over 100,000 pieces of LEGO! Apply real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture through engineer-designed projects such as arch-bridges, skyscrapers, motorized cars, and Battletrack! Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest ideas in a supportive environment.

Young Rembrandts
K - 5th Grades
Young Rembrandts teaches drawing with a see-touch-do method that all kids can succeed with, learn from and love! Watch your child reach a brand new level confidence and potential with this engaging, award-winning program.
