As a parent of a Steele Student, there are a number of ways that you can help!  Let us count the ways...
Join the PTA 
It's only $10! By becoming a Steele PTSA member, you will help support school projects. A strong PTA membership portrays our dedication to our goal of providing cultural and educational excellence at Steele. A portion of your dues also supports the Colorado and national PTAs, which provide a collective voice for all children and parents, promoting excellence in education in our schools. You can pick up a membership envelope in the school office.

Attend the Meetings 

Attending meetings provides you with an opportunity to:

  • Share your ideas with our Principal, teachers, and parents
  • Influence decisions made about our school
  • Become more aware of school issues and activities
  • Socialize, network, and form friendships with other great parents and teachers

Meetings are the second Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. in the Steele lunchroom.

Goodsearch.com is a search engine powered by Yahoo. Every time you use this search engine, a portion of the advertising proceeds goes to Steele. In the "I'm supporting" field, select "Steele Elementary School (Denver, CO)."

Collect Box Tops  

Collect box tops from General Mills products. Place the box tops in the basket in the school office. We receive 10 cents for every box top. Visit www.boxtops4education.com for details.

Collect Campbell's Soup Labels  

Steele receives school equipment and supplies by sending in labels. Visit www.labelsforeducation.com for details. You probably have the following products in your cupboards: Campbell's, Pepperidge Farms, V8 Splash (lids), Prego (lids), Pace, and Swanson. Save the UPC label, including the picture of the Campbell's kids.

Use your Target Visa 

At Target.com, you can specify that you want a portion of your purchases to benefit Steele. Through August, 2005, Steele has received $1,640.98! Use school ID 37425, or search by name and zip code.

Shop at Office Depot 

Office Depot will donate 5% of the subtotal of any of your purchases to Steele. Just tell the cashier that you want the 5% for Steele. The cashier will look up Steele's number in a book and process the transaction. Please think of Office Depot for school, home office, or business supplies.

Shop SchoolPop.com 

Shop at schoolpop.com. Select "Steele PTA" and up to 20% of your purchases benefit Steele. There is no additional cost to you!

Shop Shop.com 

Shop at shop.com. When checking out, enter CareCode SES 80209. Up to 10% of your purchase benefits Steele. There is no additional cost to you! 

Register with Escrip.com  

Show your card at participating stores, such as Macy's, Wild Oats, Payless Shoes, Sharper Image, Office Max, Pep Boys, Eddie Bauer, and Carl's Jr., and a portion of your purchase will automatically be sent to Steele. There are no receipts to collect, no vouchers or certificates to buy, and every purchase counts! (Note: make sure you access escrip.com, not escrips.com.)
