Steele’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a volunteer organization of parents, teachers and others who work together to promote the education and well-being of all children and youth. Each year the PTA raises approximately $ 125,000 to provide Steele students and staff resources to enhance the education of our children. These funds pay for:
To raise the money, Steele’s PTA conducts a number of fundaisers each year. The majority of funds come from two annual events: the Steele Auction and the Wash Park Home Tour.
The 2011/2012 Auction will take place Saturday, November 5, 2011 and our goal is to raise $50,000. The event traditionally is attended by 250 people, representing over 350 families who attend Steele.
The 2012 Wash Park Home Tour will take place May 12, 2012 and our goal for this fundraiser is $45,000. This event is a popular community event in East Wash Park and attracts over 1,400 people each year.
The Steele PTA events create an opportunity for Steele businesses to contribute to their child’s school while marketing their business. Included in this package are two spreadsheets which outline the Steele Marketing Opportunities. Please consider contributing to Steele this year by buying a year-round or Home Tour sponsorship package.
