2020/2021 Stallion Fund
Last year, the Steele PTA raised over $200,000. Over $64,000 came through donations made through the Stallion Fund. Let’s match or exceed our prior year investment.
About the Stallion Fund
Steele Elementary School is a public school on the rise, thanks to the active involvement by parents and the community in both volunteering and fundraising.
The annual Stallion Fund supports critical educational needs outside the standard district budget as determined by the Principal and the Steele’s Collaborative School Committee (CSC), and in alignment with Steele's Unified Improvement Plan.
Although the ways we raise money this year will look different due to the unprecedented year we are facing, our legacy of supporting our children and educators will ALWAYS remain the same.
Educational philosophy... At Steele Elementary, teaching and learning is an enthusiastic enterprise – a dynamic interchange between students and their teachers. Steele delivers a comprehensive academic experience that nurtures inquisitive, confident, aspiring learners who are poised to succeed both on tests, and in life.
Ask any Steele Teacher, second educators do make a difference... Second educators play a critical role in Steele's teaching philosophy by lowering student to teacher ratios and promoting smaller group instruction, intervention programs for those needing additional support and challenging activities for high-achieving students. The financial support provided by the Stallion fund allows Steele Elementary to continue to provide comprehensive, whole-child, excellence in education year after year.
What makes Steele unique... Inquiry-based teaching methods help create a collaborative and supportive environment where students can take risks and learn from mistakes, are inspired to apply logic to make connections and draw correlations, and can build confidence in their creative and problem-solving skills. Steele educational programming uniquely embraces tenants of 21st century learning, educating the whole child, and building the foundation for our students’ bright, successful future.
